The National Honor Society is an organization that is committed to both educational excellence and service to our local community. Students are selected for admission to NHS based on maintaining a GPA of 3.2 or higher as well as the leadership characteristics displayed in the classroom. It is an extreme honor to be one of the select students who have been admitted into this organization.
The National Honor Society goes above and beyond academics and is responsible for enhancing school pride and service within Almond’s community. School and community involvement allow NHS members to utilize their leadership skills for the greater good and to make a difference in our community.
Students participating in the National Honor Society must display the four pillars of National Honor Society: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Not only are they required to maintain a GPA of 3.2 or above, but they are required to attend meetings and participate in our group community service projects.
